Researcher/Writer Identity: Exploring Awareness, Manifestations and Implications of EFL Scholars’ and Applied linguists’ Identities

Interest in both Identity and Academic Writing Discourse has recently remarkably resurged. This been so applied linguistics discourse studies. As a result, many dominant ideas, practices, paradigms have criticized, challenged, or re-considered. The paper casts light on identity features manifestations the academic writing/research of EFL/applied linguists context Saudi college. research significantly under-researched Majmaah University KSA general. study seeks to answer:1. Do researchers’ identities manifest themselves academic/research EFL scholars? If so, what ways can these self-manifestations appear To extent, if any, are scholars/ researchers aware that they represent their discourse/writing? We used mixed-method design amalgamate data from two primary instruments: questionnaire interviews, which were analyzed using SPSS thematic analysis together with some qualitative methods analysis.
